Abstract

The construction industry is on the verge of large–scale changes as Industry 4.0 is preparing industrial enterprises for serious challenges. Digital transformation can bring significant changes in all areas of enterprise activity. Maturity models are usually used to assess the current situation and measure the digital maturity of an organization. The authors’ four-stage model of digital maturity assessment for construction industry companies has been proposed. When developing the model, it had been decided to move away from general assessments and use specific changes that would occur at construction industry companies in the process of digital transformation as an assessment tool. The model contains fifteen assessment factors, changes of which at various stages are indicators of digital maturity. The proposed model contains a detailed description of the four stages of digital maturity, therefore it can serve not only to assess the digital maturity of industrial enterprises in the construction industry, but can also be used to indicate the goals planned to be achieved in the future as part of digital transformation, in strategies or business models of enterprises. A distinctive feature of the model is evaluation factors reflecting the degree of integration of the digital environment of industrial enterprises with BIM models of construction organizations.

Abstract

Digitalization today is one of the most relevant trends on Russian and world retail market that has repeatedly proven its efficiency not only in communications with consumers and store-level operations but also in organizational management. The purpose of the study is to conduct a comparative research of Russian and foreign practice of integrating digital technologies in management systems. The analysis has been based on author’s own model – “technology – management area” matrix – developed through a review of normative and scientific literature. It also has been carried out for ten largest retailers in Russia and ten ones in the world. As a result of the study, key current areas of management systems’ digitalization have been identified for both Russian and foreign retailers. Those areas between the ones, in which Russian companies have already reached global benchmarks, and the ones, in which Russian retail still retains potential for future development, have been distinguished. Recommendations for management systems’ digitalization in retail industry formulated by the author following the results of the analysis can be successfully used not only in research and methodological purposes but also in real-life business practice to increase efficiency of the process concerned.

Abstract

The article studies oil engineering enterprises, which are part of both horizontal and vertical integrated structures. The purpose of the research is to consider practical aspects of corporate social responsibility (CSR) influence on oil engineering enterprises’ integration structures on their activity efficiency. The following tasks have been set: selection of research methodology, a questionnaire development for the managerial staff of oil engineering enterprises, survey results processing using statistical methods and correlation and regression analysis method, and conclusions formation on the research results. The following methods have been used: survey (Google Form), comparative and logical analysis, and statistical processing of the data that had been obtained as the survey result (correlation and regression analysis method). As a result of the study, the assumption of the influence of integration structure’s CSR on combined enterprises’ efficiency has been confirmed. The conducted correlation and regression analysis of the management personnel’s questionnaire has revealed enterprise’s economic efficiency dependence on CSR parameters, and survey results analysis allowed to establish a number of shortcomings, namely: personnel’s resistance to change; insufficient level of personnel awareness of various aspects of the integration process, in particular, in the field of social programs; lack of technological innovation dynamic appearance; lack of the team dynamics as a whole. The assessment carried out in the integrated structures of oil engineering enterprises can further form the basis for the formed program of measures to involve employees in innovative activity and increase the level of motivation and establishment of CSR policy in the integrated company.

Abstract

The article considers an example of using the tools of fuzzy sets theory in the problem of studying competitiveness of goods and firms. The competitiveness of goods has been defined through their utility in both subjective and objective manifestations. The transformation of utility indicators value from the simplest scales to the scale of equal relations has been carried out through the graphical membership functions. The general model of multi-criteria choice of optimal alternatives based on the intersection of fuzzy sets has been defined. The construction method and non-dominant alternatives set analysis on the basis of fuzzy preference relation has been considered. The problem of ranking alternatives, that are complex technical devices, considering several comparison criteria, some of which are qualitative, has been assessed by dimensionless scales with expert evaluations. Weighting coefficients have been determined for all criteria, alternatives functions belonging to the subset of optimal and matrices of fuzzy preference relations constructed, and a subset of non-dominant alternatives formed. The optimal alternative has been determined by the maximum value of subset elements. Calculation results can be used for further informed decision making in the absence of clear numerical data and presence of weakly formalized expert statements. Thus, the effectiveness and practicality of applying fuzzy sets methodology in ranking problems and optimal choice of alternatives has been shown.

Abstract

Based on the analysis of the domestic and foreign authors’ papers, a list of 21 parameters characterizing national innovation system state of the Russian Federation has been synthesized. The classification of parameters has showed the possibility of dividing national innovation system of the Russian Federation into two subsystems, the effectiveness of which constitutes its total performance. Two sets of driver parameters have been highlighted and relevant directions for improvement of national innovation system state support measures defined. The study has been carried out on the data for 2010–2020. Based on the identified parameters, recommendations have been developed to improve national innovation system effectiveness of the Russian Federation.

Abstract

Recently, much attention has been paid to the convenience and accessibility of software products, websites, mobile applications, etc. It increases interest in user-oriented product design and UX design. When developing digital products, designers use a spe cial pool of tools that allow to conduct empirical studies of user experience and model scenarios for the use of software products and services. Such methods and tools as interviews, observation, customer journey mapping (CJM), Persona Frameworks, User Stories, and heatmap have become widespread. Each of them allows to identify problematic areas of a software product or ser vice application, determine the directions of its update so that it fully satisfies users’ needs. It also solves key business tasks. The purpose of the study is to analyze and identify ways to improve the web portal based on usability testing. The official website for posting information on the preparation of draft regulatory legal acts by federal executive authorities and the results of its public discussion (https://regulation.gov.ru) has been taken as the object of the research. The portal plays a significant role in the tasks of ensuring transparency of normative activities in the field of public administration. In this regard, monitoring the effectiveness of the portal and availability of information for a wide audience on it is an urgent task. The study uses usability testing methods, decision-making interview, user feedback matrix, CJM, HotJar, SpyWord, and SemRush as tools of the research. The article describes the features of usability testing. It draws conclusions about possible directions of the portal modernization in order to achieve its convenience for a wide audience. As a result, a number of specific proposals have been formulated.

Abstract

The article reveals the pattern of network human capital formation. Network human capital has been proved to be closely connected and conditioned by digital transformation. On this basis, the relationship between network human capital formation and digital human capital has been substantiated. The purpose of the article is to consider a number of basic theoretical, methodological, and empirical foundations in the field of analysis of network human capital formation. Based on the analysis of a number of key studies in the area, it has been concluded that in the modern network economy, network human capital is determined by one of the most important strategic assets of organizations. It has been proposed to use the methodology of the Network Readiness Index to quantify network human capital. The theoretical and practical value of the proposed approach lies in the application of a methodology that gives priority to the human factor of network readiness and reflects the impact of individuals’ choices regarding technologies and management methods on innovative networks creation in the process of innovative technologies development and implementation. The emerging concept of network human capital is aimed at overcoming the digital inequality and using the Internet to implement positive social changes. This concept considers digital education in the context of the formation of an active socio-political position of human influence on society development.
