ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT IN VARIOUS FIELDS
The article an empirical validation of an integrated methodology for evaluating the digitalization effectiveness of an industrial enterprise and links it with the diagnostic assessment of business ecosystem evolutionary stages. The study employs an integrated index (IIE) aggregating economic, operational, technical, social, and market performance indicators across five key domains.
The methodology incorporates data normalization procedures with a significance threshold parameter and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for component weighting. The empirical base comprises data from a large electrical machinery plant covering the 2022–2024 period. Qualitative assessment of the ecosystem’s evolutionary stage is conducted through a diagnostic gates rubric that identifies structural conditions for transitions between product, service, and platform models. The analysis reveals steady growth in integrated digitalization effectiveness accompanied by a natural deceleration during the high-maturity phase; at advanced stages, market and social outcomes contribute more significantly to overall dynamics than direct economic indicators. Based on the diagnostic results, the enterprise is positioned as a developed digital product ecosystem, and high internal technological maturity does not guarantee a transition to a service model without establishing external data loops and regular service orchestration mechanisms.
The scientific originality lies in developing an approach that utilizes quantitative effectiveness indicators as objective evidence of an enterprise’s readiness for structural evolutionary shifts. The practical value of the study derives from the applicability of the proposed tools to identify bottlenecks in digital transformation programs and to justify development priorities for business ecosystems.
INSTRUMENTAL AND MATHEMATICAL METHODS IN MANAGEMENT PROCESSES
The article presents a comprehensive methodology for evaluating and selecting optimal propeller-motor groups (PMGs) for small-lift unmanned aerial systems (UAS), as well as an economic assessment of the resulting design solutions. The authors conducted a series of field tests using the Mayatech MT10 modern traction testing stand, which allowed them to obtain experimental data on the energy efficiency of various combinations of brushless electric motors and propeller form factors. The study provides a detailed example of selecting optimal configurations based on morphological analysis of options. When developing a methodology for calculating the economic and energy parameters of propeller groups for small-capacity UAVs, methods of decision theory and non-parametric expertise were used, which ensures the objectivity and reproducibility of the results.
Special attention is paid to the economic component of optimality. The authors propose a calculation of the reduced operating costs, which includes the cost of acquisition, depreciation, repair and maintenance costs, as well as the energy consumption of the studied propeller groups. The method of finding the optimal propeller group based on the criterion of weighted average efficiency and economic indicators allows us to identify the most rational combinations for UAVs weighing up to 10 kg. The development of an automated digital methodology for optimality analysis is designed to increase the competitiveness of domestic R&D, reduce production and operating costs, and accelerate the process of introducing new drone models in the civilian, military, and commercial sectors.
As a practical result, the authors have developed a specialized software package for auto-mated analysis of designed propulsion systems. This tool is designed to provide scientifically based recommendations to industrial enterprises, design bureaus and developers in the field of small unmanned aviation.
Planning is a crucial element of strategic management. The effectiveness of this process largely determines the ability to achieve the country’s priority economic goals, including ensuring national security and sustainable socioeconomic development, achieving a high level of competitiveness in Russian industries, and maintaining technological sovereignty.
This article examines key aspects of long-term planning at three interconnected levels—regional, sectoral, and corporate. The authors analyze the goals, processes, tools, and strategic planning documents specific to each level, identifying their distinctive features. Particular attention is paid to the specific needs of industrial companies, particularly those in the mining and metallurgical sector, whose activities are closely linked to their resource base, environmental constraints, and government policy.
The study identifies the need to ensure the unity of the strategic planning system at all management levels. It emphasizes the importance of aligning corporate strategies with regional and sectoral priorities to ensure sustainable socioeconomic development, increased competitiveness, and efficient use of resources. Mechanisms for institutional, regulatory, and practical interaction between business, government, and society are proposed, facilitating the synchronization of strategic efforts at all levels of governance.
THE ECOSYSTEM OF THE DIGITAL ECONOMY
This article is devoted to e-commerce adoption in Afganistan, where its use is still restricted due to the infrastructural, organizational and contextual factors despite business development potential. The aim of the study is to determine the factors driving the adoption of e-commerce in small and medium-sized enterprises (next — SMEs) in Afghanistan. The authors use primary cross-sectional data of 330 SMEs owners and managers in various regions of Afghanistan, collected with online questionnaire method. Multiple regression analysis was used for checking hypotheses concerning the organizational, environmental, regional, and technological factors.
The most predictive factor of e-commerce adoption is Organizational Context, specifically, managerial support, availability of resources, and internal preparedness. Business environment factors such as government support, trust in digital deals and general state of the infrastructure also have a positive impact, although in a lower degree. The regional context plays an important role, as evidenced by significant differences in digitalization and market conditions between provinces.
The results of the study indicate that multidimensional contextual factors contribute to the use of e-commerce in Afghanistan and not technology alone. The findings may be used for development more effective strategies of SMEs digital transformation in developing and emerging economies, firstly in Afghanistan.
The Russian Federation occupies a leading position in the energy sector, while experiencing personnel problems in this industry. Under the influence of the digitalization of the economy, the skills and competencies of the workforce are being adapted. The purpose of the study is to analyze possible labor flows in the energy sector of the economy, considering professional skills and competencies.
The methodological basis of the research consists of general scientific methods, machine learning methods, semantic analysis, mathematical modeling, statistical analysis and others. In the course of the research, the authors built a competence profile of the energy industry based on professionally-oriented and socially-oriented skills. Digital skills were included in the first group. The analysis of the competence profile of the energy industry has shown the predominance of professional skills over social ones. To study the flows of labor resources in the energy industry, a measure of oriented competence differences was presented, as well as a matrix of differences in industries in the context of enlarged groups of professional skills, which, in turn, made it possible to identify industries that are donors of labor resources for the energy industry and industries that attract labor resources from the energy industry according to professional skills.
In the course of the study, when determining these indicators, it was revealed that the labor resources of the industry corresponding to the OKVED E are the closest to the labor resources of the industry under study.
CURRENT ECONOMIC ISSUES

This article analyzes the current state of the Russian thermal power complex, identifies existing problems in the industry, and proposes measures to improve its sustainable operation and development. The purpose of this study is to assess the current state of the Russian thermal power complex and develop measures to ensure its sustainable operation and development.
A theoretical analysis of scientific papers revealed that researchers are concluding that it is necessary to improve the efficiency of the thermal power industry and are proposing various approaches to addressing this issue. An analytical analysis revealed that production equipment is not being utilized to its full capacity, and, consequently, organizations are unable to cover the costs associated with modernization and capacity upgrades. The study analyzed the relationship between investment volumes and the number of accidents, con-cluding that increased investment does not significantly reduce the number of accidents. Based on the empirical study, factors influencing sustainable operation and development were identified.
The study proposed an optimization model for finding the most efficient thermal energy source, which presented an objective function and identified constraints. The study drew the following conclusions.
The article examines the consolidation of electric grid company assets to improve their efficiency, reliability, and manageability. To this end, new, more stringent criteria for merging territorial grid organizations (TGOs) in Russia and the Yaroslavl Region are examined.
Tariffs for electricity transmission services for grid organizations in the Yaroslavl Region are calculated using a long-term indexation method of required gross revenue. Controllable expenses are calculated using a new benchmark method, limited by the specific controllable expenses per conventional unit of the region’s largest distribution grid organization. The consequences of tariff regulation transformation are assessed. Given that all territorial grid companies in Russia must gradually transition to this tariff regulation methodology (calculating controllable expenses using a comparison method with an analogue, taking into account the benchmark method) from 2026 to 2028, it is important to consider its impact on individual regional TGOs, prepare for the transformation, and assess its implications for consumers and grid companies. This paper examines the specifics of the benchmark method for calculating the controllable costs of the electric grid divisions of Transenergo, a subsidiary of Russian Railways.
The study revealed that Transenergo’s specific controllable costs are lower than those of the region’s largest territorial grid operator (TGO) throughout the transition period, specifically, 42% lower for 2026. Controllable costs themselves, calculated using the economically justified costs method, are 3.4% lower than those determined using the benchmark method in 2026.
MANAGEMENT: TRENDS AND PROSPECTS
The research substantiates the need to develop strategic marketing management tools. The following factors are identified as determining the expediency of improving strategic marketing tools: the dynamic nature of the market environment, which necessitates the formation of a strategic marketing management system; the implementation of a proactive approach in strategic management and the transition from ensuring implementation to a proactive management stratagem; choosing the strategic potential of an enterprise as the main object of strategic marketing management; creating a strategic marketing ecosystem of an industrial enterprise based on strategic marketing forecasting; building a promising image of strategic potential based on the implementation of the results of collective innovation activities.
The methodological base of the research is represented by traditional methods: analysis and synthesis of theoretical information, comparison and generalization. In the course of the research, a justification was obtained for increasing the role of the strategic potential of the enterprise as a result of the development of competitive forces and the evolution of the innovation sphere, shortening the life cycle of goods and the need to intensify the modernization of production forces. In turn, this fact determined the need to develop the strategic ecosystem of the enterprise. The article proposes a logical model for the development of strategic marketing management tools, reflecting the need to develop special strategic marketing tools in the following areas: strategic forecasting of the market environment, strategic analysis and planning of the development of the strategic potential of the enterprise in the format of a marketing ecosystem and modeling of marketing strategy.
The most promising areas for the development of strategic marketing tools have been identified: analysis of strategic potential in the enterprise ecosystem as the development of strategic marketing analysis, marketing design as a type of marketing (strategic) planning, and synergetic modeling of the strategic marketing ecosystem and marketing strategy.
